High School
Southern Academy’s High School (grades 7th-12th) provides a supportive and structured learning environment where students are encouraged to do their best both academically and personally. As headmaster, my goal is to ensure that students receive a strong educational foundation while also developing responsibility, confidence, and respect for others. By maintaining high expectations and offering meaningful opportunities for growth, the school will prepare students for the next steps in their education and in life.

This vision is guided by three core values: Integrity, Excellence, and Community. Integrity means doing the right thing and taking responsibility for one's actions. Excellence reflects a commitment to steady effort and continuous improvement in all areas. Community highlights the importance of respect, teamwork, and supporting one another. Together, these values help create a positive school culture where students can learn, grow, and succeed.
Our high school classes are set up to provide small class sizes for more opportunity for individualized instruction. Our dedicated faculty has the goal of preparing each student to achieve success in whatever they choose after graduation. We offer a variety of core subject courses, electives, and integrated opportunities for independent studies. Various clubs, athletics, and leadership organizations are available to further guide the students to become well-rounded and independent individuals. Technology is incorporated in the educational program in the computer lab and classroom. Each year, graduating seniors receive numerous scholarship awards from colleges to help pursue their post-secondary education. Our goal at Southern Academy is to provide a challenging academic program using all methodologies to ensure each student achieves the best education possible.
Dual Enrollment
Southern Academy has Dual Enrollment partnerships with Auburn University, Shelton State Community College, Troy University, the University of Alabama and the University of West Alabama. Please visit each college’s website for more information and to apply.
Auburn First Dual Enrollment
NEW! Participation Requirements. Interested students must have:

- Completed the 10th grade*
- Minimum 3.5 high school GPA
- Support form provided to Auburn First by a high school counselor
*Partial 10th grade transcripts are accepted to allow students to begin taking courses the summer semester after their 10th grade year.
University of Alabama Early College
To be eligible for UA Early College, a student needs to have completed the ninth grade and have 3.0 GPA or higher. Students will also need to submit an online application to Early College, along with their high school transcript.
